Scheduled entry permit reservations are in effect starting at 9 a.m. For all areas of the park outside the Bear Lake Road corridor. To visit destinations along Bear Lake Road, such as Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, and Moraine Park, scheduled entry permits are in effect from 5 am to. 5pm.
A valid ticket or park pass is always required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Like it or not, Rocky Mountain National Park's scheduled entry reservation policy is now in effect. Gone are the summer days, when you could visit the park at the right time, and they may be gone forever if park officials decide to make this summer's “pilot program” permanent. First of all, keep in mind that there are two types of reservations, and the times when they apply differ significantly.
Reservations are required starting at 5 am. Permits are NOT required before 9 a.m. or after 3 p.m.
